SIMPLE THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP SHADES CREEK

1. Keep litter out of the street in your neighborhood.

2. Containerize - bag or can your yard waste.

3. Keep dirt out of the gutter and out of the creeks.

4. Report construction sites with failing silt fences (or with none at all!) to city or county authorities.

5. Plant native trees to replace those removed or lost.

6. Fertilize you lawn only when there is no rain in the forecast.

7. Support the acquisition and maintenance of green spaces and parkland.

8. Let your elected officials know you care about Shades Creek.

9. Build with nature and the creek in mind.
